Duet
Maldives. Indian ocean.
I can’t describe this encounter with words other than
grace, curiosity, a flirt, a dance, a duet.
I followed the larger female for quite a while and saw her swimming up towards the smaller shark. For moments and moments and several of my breath holds, they circled and spiralled around each other. Leaving me with wonder, awe and so much appreciation and love for sharks that we mislable, misuse and mistreat. They deserve better.
